Effective date: May 19, 2026
Narration Room ("Narration Room," "we," "us," or "our") is an iOS app that turns speech into transcripts you can review, rename, share, and delete. This Privacy Policy explains, in plain language, what the iOS app does with information.
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to the Narration Room iOS app.
The Narration Room website, Mac app, website analytics, Mac app analytics, Mac app diagnostics, and other website or Mac-specific features are covered by the general Narration Room Privacy Policy. When you visit narrationroom.com, the website policy applies to website request information and any website analytics choices.
2. The Short Version
- The iOS app works without a LogicBridge account.
- Microphone audio is used to create a transcript on your device. The app does not upload microphone audio to LogicBridge.
- Transcripts are stored on your device unless you turn on iCloud sync or choose to share/export them.
- The app may check whether iCloud is available on your device so it can show sync controls. That check does not upload transcript content.
- iCloud sync is optional and off by default. If you turn it on, transcript text, titles, timing information, language information, and speaker labels or speaker segments are copied to your personal iCloud.
- This version of the iOS app does not include advertising, tracking, or third-party analytics SDKs.
- We do not sell your information.
3. Information the iOS App Handles
Depending on how you use the app, Narration Room may handle:
- microphone audio while you record,
- dictated or recorded speech converted into transcript text,
- transcript text, transcript titles, custom titles, timestamps, recording duration, recognition language or locale, speaker labels, and speaker segments,
- local app settings, such as selected recognition language, iCloud sync preference, and speaker-mode consent where available,
- iCloud availability information, such as whether iCloud appears available for sync on your device,
- information you choose to share with us in support messages, such as your contact details, message content, screenshots, examples, attachments, and related metadata.
The app does not require a LogicBridge account and does not link app activity to a LogicBridge user account. Support messages are linked to the contact details you choose to provide. The app may ask Apple whether iCloud is available on your device so it can show iCloud sync status and controls. Apple may link App Store, iCloud, Apple Account, and device information according to Apple's own terms and privacy policy.
4. Microphone Audio and Speech Recognition
When you start recording, the app captures microphone audio so it can transcribe what you say.
The app is designed to process microphone audio on your device. Microphone audio is not uploaded to LogicBridge by the app and is not saved as a recording after the transcription session.
Narration Room uses Apple-provided speech recognition on iOS. Speech recognition follows your iOS microphone and speech-recognition permission settings. Apple may process network request metadata if your device needs to download, update, or check availability for speech-recognition assets.
5. Local Transcript Storage
Completed transcripts are saved on your device so you can review, rename, share, or delete them later.
Local transcript records may include:
- transcript text,
- title or custom title,
- start date and other timestamps,
- duration,
- recognition language or locale,
- speaker labels or speaker segments,
- sync status used by the app to show whether a transcript has an iCloud copy.
Local transcripts remain on your device until you delete them, uninstall the app, erase the device, or remove them through iOS storage and backup controls.
6. iCloud Sync
iCloud sync is optional and off by default. The app may check whether iCloud is available so it can show sync status and controls, but transcript content is not uploaded to iCloud until you choose to turn sync on and confirm.
If you turn on iCloud sync, the app copies your existing transcript library to your personal iCloud and then uploads new or renamed transcripts automatically as they are saved.
Synced transcript data may include:
- transcript text,
- transcript title or custom title,
- start date, creation date, modification date, and duration,
- recognition language or locale,
- speaker labels and speaker segments.
Microphone audio and audio recordings are not uploaded by iCloud sync.
Synced transcripts are stored in the private iCloud storage associated with your Apple Account and are handled by Apple under Apple's iCloud terms and privacy policy. LogicBridge does not operate a server that receives your iCloud transcripts as part of iCloud sync.
You can turn iCloud sync off in the app. Turning it off stops future uploads from that device. Transcripts already copied to iCloud may remain in iCloud unless you delete them through the app or manage them through Apple iCloud controls. When you delete a synced transcript in the app, the app asks iCloud to remove the iCloud copy as well.
7. Sharing and Export
You can choose to share transcript text through the iOS share sheet or other export flows made available by the app.
When you share or export a transcript, the recipient app, service, person, or destination you choose may receive the transcript text. Those recipients handle the information under their own terms and privacy policies. Review transcripts before sharing them, especially if they contain personal, confidential, or sensitive information.
8. Speaker Mode and Model Downloads
If Speaker mode is available and you choose to enable it, Narration Room may download a speaker model from FluidAudio's open model repository before Speaker mode can run.
Only the model is downloaded. Your microphone audio, transcript text, and speaker labels are not sent to FluidAudio by the app for Speaker mode. The download may involve FluidAudio, repository hosts, or infrastructure providers processing network request metadata and the selected model asset needed to deliver the download.
After the speaker model is installed, Speaker mode is designed to run on your device.
9. What the iOS App Does Not Do
The iOS app does not:
- require a LogicBridge account,
- upload microphone audio or transcripts to a LogicBridge transcription server,
- include advertising SDKs,
- track you across apps or websites,
- sell your information,
- include third-party analytics SDKs in this version.
Apple may provide crash reports, diagnostics, App Store information, or other developer-facing information to us if you have enabled sharing diagnostics with app developers or if Apple makes information available through App Store developer tools. Apple's collection and sharing of that information is governed by Apple's terms and privacy policy and your Apple device settings.
10. Website and Support
If you contact support, we process the contact details, message content, attachments, examples, screenshots, and related metadata you choose to provide. Do not send sensitive audio, transcripts, screenshots, or personal information unless it is necessary for support and you are comfortable sharing it.
When you visit narrationroom.com, we and our website hosting providers may process standard website request information needed to deliver, secure, and maintain the website. Website analytics, if enabled by you, are covered by the general website Privacy Policy.
